Columbus Park Collaborative offers an exceptional range of outpatient treatment groups. These specialized groups, led by highly experienced practitioners, provide an ideal complement to individual therapy. Groups of 5-8 women are carefully formed to ensure that participants share similar needs and goals.  The groups meet once weekly, typically after work/school hours and range in term from six to twenty weeks. Clients may join a weekly outpatient group after a thorough intake with the group facilitator.

We offer the following specialized groups for the treatment of eating disorders:

Day Treatment Program

Columbus Park Collaborative’s Day Treatment Program is our most concentrated therapeutic experience, providing a structured treatment program five days a week, for six hours each day. The Day Treatment Program is dedicated to helping our clients attain weight, behavior and mood stabilization.  Participants benefit from intensive treatment while maintaining ties to their everyday lives at home, facilitating a smooth and authentic transition to an autonomous lifestyle.  Our Day Treatment Program is also ideal for women who have completed inpatient treatment, as they may gradually reintegrate into life at home while reinforcing and augmenting strides made previously.

Between 9am and 3pm every weekday, clients participate in:

  • Three hours of group psychotherapy and skill-building
  • Mindfulness and fitness workshops including daily yoga, breathing and meditation
  • Two balanced meals and one snack, prepared by the CPC private chef
  • Supportive therapy and processing after every eating experience
  • Comprehensive afternoon and evening planning sessions

Outside Day Treatment Program hours, clients engage in:

  • Twice weekly individual psychotherapy
  • Weekly individual nutrition counseling and meal planning
  • Regular follow-up with our psychiatrist
  • Family and/or couples therapy

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) &
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Columbus Park Collaborative’s Intensive Outpatient Programs provide a structured therapeutic environment three evenings a week, for three hours each evening.  Similar to our Day Treatment Program, IOP is dedicated to helping our clients attain weight, behavior and mood stabilization.  IOP offers a concentrated treatment experience that accommodates continued engagement in occupational and/or academic responsibilities.  This creates an ideal platform for clients to practice new skills in their daily lives.  IOP is also ideal for women who have completed a Day Treatment Program or residential treatment, as it reinforces insights and learning previously gained while supporting gradual reintegration into everyday life.

Between 5-8pm (Adolescent IOP) and 6-9pm (Adult IOP) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, clients engage in:

  • Two hours of group psychotherapy and skill building
  • A balanced dinner prepared by the CPC private chef
  • Supportive therapy and processing after every eating experience
  • Comprehensive day and weekend planning

Outside IOP hours, clients engage in:

  • Weekly individual psychotherapy
  • Weekly individual nutrition counseling and meal planning
  • Regular follow-up with our psychiatrist
  • Family and/or couples therapy
