Ms. Gerson graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University. She earned her master’s degree in social work at New York University and completed NYU Psychoanalytic Institute’s post-graduate program in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Ms. Gerson was trained at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia and at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis & Psychology.  In her private practice, Ms. Gerson provides both group and individual treatment to adults and adolescents with eating disorders and body image concerns. Before becoming a licensed clinical social worker, Ms. Gerson was a soloist with the Miami City Ballet for seven years.
