Rebecca Appleman, R.D.

Ms. Appleman graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Connecticut College. She studied at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education, Department of Nutrition and Food Studies, the first graduate nutrition program in the nation to emphasize the way individuals, communities and societies relate to food. She completed her dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and clinical training at Weill Cornell Medical Center’s inpatient eating disorder treatment program. She served as the primary nutritionist at The Renfrew Center New York Day Treatment Program for eating disorders, and completed The Commission on Dietetic Registration’s intensive training and certification program in adult weight management. In her private practice, she provides individual nutritional counseling to adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders and weight management. Ms. Appleman is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and the Greater New York Dietetic Association.
